Coming from Hungary, where hand-crafting shoes and tailoring were once not only respected occupations, but important part of the culture, they find it important to collaborate with those rare craftsmen who are still true to the values of handmade. With the exception of the famous Budapester shoes, the art of shoemaking is now represented by only a few specialised workshops, as mass production and imports have taken over. Handmade shoes will of course bare a higher price range, however it also offers an incomparable quality. Therefore, handmade shoes are somewhat of an investment, however they believe they are certainly worth it. Having a pair made for you is truly a special treat. They aim to align these traditional values with a conscious brand philosophy. They consider and plan every aspect of their project, from fabrics they use to all products being hand-made to making sure their artisans are fairly paid partners, working under fair working conditions. They all know each other personally and truly work as a team.
MADE IN HUNGARY
BASED IN GERMANY AND SHIPPING: INTERNATIONAL
Their shoes are made in Hungary by artisans that are fairly paid and working under fair working conditions.
They use chrome free leather.
They use almost exclusively leathers that are ‘left-overs or waste’ from Italy where they buy off over-produced or ‘faulty’ leather fabrics from famous fashion businesses.
Due to the shoes’ special design, they are able to use smaller fabrics and minimise their leather waste. They also often re-use the leather waste to create small pouches or they up-cycle tiny fabric pieces for jewellery.
