“People who don’t travel cannot have a global view, all they see is what’s in front of them. Those people cannot accept new things because all they know is where they live.” /Martin Yan/

Different is not a question of better or worse. It is just different. Think of it as something intriguing and fascinating something to go and explore but not necessarily change.

In the world we are all different. You from me and me from everybody else. And it is so beautiful. The important step is getting to know each other and realising that. Appreciating the different but simultaneously seeing all that we can bring to each other. Recently we traveled to Bahrain a small but culturally rich country in the middle east. If we would have to describe it in a single phrase we would call it an ‘adventure land’. There is fun stuff to do all over the island from jet ski to karting but also it has incredibly rich history filled with traditions and stories to tell. We got to see the highs and the lows of the country and experienced it during the end of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid which made the trip so much more interesting.

One thing that we were sure of was that weather will reach 40 °C heat which meant light and comfortable clothes. As we prepared for the trip we came across brand called Beaumont Organic that produces ethically made organic cotton dresses. We loved the simplicity of the designs and the softness of organic cotton. For those who have tried organic cotton they know that you can never go back. In addition, cotton is a natural fiber that is perfect for summer due to its lightness and capability to allow air circulation. And we really needed that. In fact, at times it was the only thing that saved us from feeling dizzy from the hot sun simmering right above us. So we wanted to share both, their beautiful designs and imagery from our travel adventure with What’s Your Legacy.

It is one thing to get our world perception second hand and completely different to experience it first hand just to realise that world is much lovelier place than the media tries to convince us of. We really think if all of us had the opportunity to be with people from other nations, in their surroundings, see their homes and the way they live, how they also hugs and kiss their families and rest after work, the world would become a much more peaceful and harmonious place.

This is what makes traveling so important.. to realise that besides our customs we all are just a one human race – a one big family.
